Recently the outdoor community around Snowdonia was saddened to hear that Siabod cafe is closing….in it’s current location. This eatery / art gallery / meeting place has been a big part of many people’s lives, bookending days or weekends which will never be forgotten, or cementing a lifelong love of the Snowdonia mountains. Our experiences at local mountain cafe’s have always been positive, if sometimes a little bit interesting, and we take this opportunity to look a bit more closely at what it is about these local hubs which makes them so unique, special and important.
If you have any stories to share about your experiences, let us know by contacting us on social media, discord or by email (we might share some of these on social media so please specify if you’d rather we didn’t!)

The Original Outdoors Podcast was our first real move into digital content creation for the outdoor audience. We started it back in 2014, and that original run lasted until early 2016.
The show was rebooted in late 2023, with a co-host Amy Green , and joins our other popular podcasts.
We talk about weird and interesting news stories, dig deeper into current events and cover a wide range of topics from hiking and mountaineering to gear, ecology and even outdoor etiquette.
