Macpac Microlight 2 Pitching Video

This is a great little tent and perfect for 4-season solo backpacking in my opinion. Tough fabric, not too heavy and goes up with the inner and outer together. There is absolutely no way you could get two people in it, but it’s great for one person plus their kit!

When pitching a tent in windy conditions make sure you keep an eye on the bags etc, and don’t let go! Put the upwind pegs in first, then the rest before tensioning the guy lines. Take the wind direction into consideration. Obviously you don’t want to open the door straight into the wind, but get the angle slightly wrong and the flaps will be whistling all night…
