Episode 10
A roadtrip podcast with Paul “Pouch” Smethurst, talking about Search and Rescue, Mountain Rescue and Remote Area Medical jobs
Our roadtrip podcasts are proving very popular, so whilst making the journey to Pembrokeshire from North Wales Paul “Pouch” Smethurst and I went through how Search and Rescue works in the UK, life in a volunteer Mountain Rescue team and the end of the RAF SAR helicopter fleet, and the new privatised SAR helicopters.
In this episode…
I have known and worked alongside Pouch for many years, and on this journey we were both on our way to go and work for Claire and Robin Bidgood from Strata Medical. We strapped the microphone to the dashboard and just let things roll.
This is a mostly unedited podcast, so if you want to listen to two old friends talk about helicopters, mountains and all things medical then this is the episode for you.
