Subsidised Training for UK Volunteer SAR Teams

Subsidised Search and Tracking courses for UK Volunteer SAR teams

Last year we launched the Environmental Survival Training (EST) Framework. The courses we offer under this framework aren’t new, but the way we’ve structured the training streams and pathways IS a little different to the courses we’ve offered to our wide range of clients before.

This has prompted a flurry of enquiries and new bookings to deliver bespoke training to, well, everyone really! But one thing that I have wanted to do for a while now was to offer some limited-space training courses for those who freely give their time and risk their lives to help others as part of the volunteer SAR community. That encompasses not only the volunteer mountain and lowland rescue teams but also Coast Guard and other coastal rescue teams, volunteer lifeboats and water rescue, cave and mine rescue, volunteer disaster relief and countless other organisations.

With our busy ‘season’ well and truly underway I’ve put aside two weekends in the summer to run two separate courses – the L1 Search Operations Technician and the L1 Search Tracking Technician courses. Both of these are level one courses within the Search Operations training stream.

Full details of what’s included in the courses, the requirements for attendance and how to apply can be found in the links below.
