Breakfast in camp

A morning timelapse in a bushcraft camp

The morning after the first night in any camp is always interesting. If you’re up early it’s fun to watch people arrive at the communal fire area and go through the same conversations:

“how did you sleep?”
“did you hear that fox at about 2am?”
“is there any bacon left?”

There is the normal mix of folk who slept like logs, and those who slept poorly because of logs. For some just being away from street lights, traffic noise and planes coming into land at Heathrow is enough to unsettle that first night in the woods…

This is a short time lapse, shot on a Nikon D7200, of the morning breakfast preparations at camp on one of our Woodcrafter courses.
