Can I book any date?
Theoretically we can run this course throughout the year, but to get the very most out of it we strongly recommend that you choose a date between the beginning of April and end of October.
If you make a booking for an agreed specific date then we will book that date in for you, but if you wish to redeem a voucher purchased for you then you need to get in touch with us and arrange a date with us. We will do our best to accommodate requests for specific dates.
Do you forage for mushrooms and edible fungi?
Yes – but each course is focused on what is available in that area at that time. The availability of fungi (and particularly the edible species) is dependent on many conditions including temperature, humidity and even soil disturbance. We always talk in detail about mushroom foraging, but we cannot guarantee a good selection of edible species in the area on any given date.
Can I bring a dog?
Yes – but it will have to be on a lead at all times and be well behaved. You are responsible for your own dog at all times.
Is there any cooking involved?
There is no cooking involved on this course, but we do run a dedicated Wild Food Weekend that covers many aspects of cooking with wild food in the outdoors.
