I really enjoyed my foraging walk with Richard today - it was a familiar walk with a new perspective for me. Really interesting and informative - we all need to learn what we can eat...and NOT eat out there! See you again!

When I booked the course, with all of the attendant unknowns, I could not have hoped that it would have turned out as well as it did. In the end I chose, Original Outdoors over your competitors because of the way in which you took time to speak to me, the way in which you gave control of the weekend to me but were aware enough to know that I did not know what I wanted and so gave me realistic options to choose from. The speed of response and administration generally was fantastic. I am glad I chose your company. The location and facilities were perfect. The range and pace of learning were perfect for a bunch of ageing boys who don’t manage to get together that often. You and Kevin handled us with grace (see above) but kept things moving whilst giving us time to catch up with each other. I learnt, but it was a pleasure – which is an unusual combination in my experience.

We are all still abuzz about the weekend that we just had. Most of us have spent a little time in the outdoors but not for some considerable time. It was great to be reminded what a fun and fulfilling experience it is. Obviously, a large part of that was down to you and Kevin. Not only were you patient with our technical inadequacies, with our irritating tendency to crack (poor) jokes at inappropriate times, with our failure to listen at others and with our ability to talk over you, and each other, constantly, but you suffered us with great humour and if I may say so, managed us, brilliantly whilst imparting your significant wisdom in a way which was easy to understand.

We’ve been working with the team at Original Outdoors for a couple of years and will continue to do so. As a Union Learning Rep we try to source companies who provide training and experiences which leave the participants with something of value and Original Outdoors certainly do that. We have taken part in Foraging days, Bush craft, Navigation and Outdoor First Aid Courses and the feedback from the participants has always been excellent…….which is why we keep coming back and keep recommending Original Outdoors to others.

Hi Richard, Just wanted to say how much Jon & I enjoyed the basic navigation course, despite the chilly and soggy Saturday weather! The content and pace were just right and the delivery was pitched very well - knowledgeable without being a lecture, and great fun overall. We came away having learned exactly what we wanted to, and eager to put it into practice.

The course as been the best course I've attended, all hands on and realistic scenarios. Wayne delivered the course well and his friendly, laid back and welcoming manner makes everyone feel relaxed and welcomed. I'd Highly recommend anyone who's wanting to gain first aid qualifications to attend one of Wayne courses, I for sure will be attending more of his courses. Same goes for Original Outdoors, Very welcoming and friendly, also making sure you are ok and helping you out I will be attending more course with Original Outdoors.

Just a quick email to say a big thank you for your help and guidance over the weekend. I met the walkers at Brecon and was filled in on the day’s events and weather conditions!!!!! Gofal, United Welsh and Capita would like to thank Richard, Dave and Mark from Original Outdoors who guided the walkers on the Snowdon and Cadair Idris legs of the challenge.

I would like to say a big thank you to yourselves for helping us make Saturday a really enjoyable day and especially Mark & Andy the guides as they were brilliant I believe everyone enjoyed the walk up and down Snowdonia especially as 9 of them had never done it before, it was an experience to remember with plenty of memories and we have helped raise over £1,500.00 for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research doing the walk. So again i would like to say a big big thank you for helping me make this happen

On behalf of Tata Steel, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for your time and effort in organising the outdoor activities for our recent team building workshop. The outdoor team building exercise was a complete success with everyone actively participating, especially in the first aid part of the session. We would certainly have no hesitation in using Original Outdoors for any future events.

Thanks to Richard and his team we were given a great day out, with the knowledge that we have an expert team with us should anything have gone wrong. From the initial discussions to the day itself Richard was helpful and made sure that we knew the dangers of what we were doing, made sure we brought the right equipment with us and gave us the most tiring but fantastic day, so good in fact while I was walking back down Snowdon with Richard we were planning our next 2-3 adventures. Thank you to all involved it was brilliant and I would recommend Original Outdoors to anyone at a heartbeat.
